MinXus Solar Festival Showcase: Winning submissions to the Can YOU Draw the Mink? Contest

As part of Solar Festival 2012, MinXus-Lynxus sponsored the Can YOU Draw the Mink? FREE Famous Artist Talent Scout Contest. The competition was open to artists of all levels of ability and skill. They were asked to base their work on this stunning piece of antique taxidermy (artwork in its own right) on exhibit in Morgantown, West Virginia, USA:

Submissions poured in from all corners of the globe and were accepted until August 1, 2012. Our esteemed judges selected the works below that represent the attainment of the ideal in various facets of MinXus-Lynxus. I dont reckon I know where the dents come from Empress. I do remember where the flyin pigs come from. Dw was all took up with Alice & the White Rabbit & that fella Lewis Carroll wrote somethin like

The time has come the Walrus said to talk of many things
Of ships & shoes and ceiling wax, of cabbages & kings
And why the ocean’s boiling hot and whether pigs have wings

I think we’ve covered this ground afore.

The dents come from the chicken. It’s all their fault.

Some fella from England wearin a combat helmet & a ballet dress over there at the Trade Union just ordered a bunch o’ Mink Ranch souvenirs. Dw needs to get on it pronto.

We got the big art show still comin up. But after that the tenderfoot season is winding down. We gotta come up with some things to keep the Mink Ranch goin as the price of feed is goin up. The corn crop was a bust.
