Dear Tenderfoots & beloved companions on the Long and Dusty Trail, we are thrilled to present THE BOOK OF MINXUS, knowing we are witnessing MinXus-Lynxus history together. Our dearest Ambassador used some sort of corporate portfolio as the foundation for this masterpiece. The work arrived carefully encased in fishnet, which we had to remove:

I am in awe of this thing. I don’t know how he did the collage. This was, wow, a tremendous undertaking.
In terms of a narrative, I guess this is supposed to be MinXus Guivry and E is the one with the RayJo bunny head? But not always. He’s a bit cryptic.

As you can easily imagine, I am deep green over this. What a gem. And not only because “Marie’s birthday” is written there on E’s schedule 😉 although… that’s so sweet. I love the way he played with the silhouettes. Does “tout un monde d’impressions” translate well into English? In French the wordplay on “impressions” works really great. Have you tried to scratch and smell E’s fragrance??

So nice to see other folks see this as a Triumph of MinXus – pushing the envelope, as the English expression goes.
I also like the reference to Marie in the ledger. He has, then, created a detailed narrative.
Yes, the work is haptic – it has a very nice smell! Why has no one before thought of MinXus perfume?

What would be the official MinXus scent? Tangerine? Or gamey fur after swimming in a swampy river?
On one level, M-L is a place to share mail-art received (and for the effort Dark wall posts incomprehensible reactions.)
On the other hand though, MinXus-Lynxus is an art concept, a non-movement “MinXus emphatically denies the existence of MinXus.” It’s collaborative in that anyone who wants to can participate (ever notice the post-neo tag?) in making it whatever it is. Even explaining it suggests too much ownership.
We have developed a complex MinXus symbology or iconography based on things in work by different people. E really captures the essence of the (w)hole thing, in that you can read the MinXus narrative in THE BOOK OF MINXUS, and he also contributes to it, in the way Miss Becca’s sock is now a MinXus relic.
So this is a great thrill!
