MinXus Mail Bag: Finnish Village People? A New Clinic? – Cryptic Updates from Carina Granlund (Petsmo, Finland)

Carina - 10.24.2014 - 1

Mail-art by Carina Granlund (Petsmo, Finland)

We certainly do not want it to seem to Tenderfoots as if we are taking the role of your mother, but we finally heard from our one correspondent in Finland. We were worried sick! What did we receive? One postcard! (when everyone else is receiving entire books). What are we? Chopped liver? Allright, we will take it. It is a wonderful postcard, but we don’t get it. Has a version of The Clinic (in Mexico) been established in Finland? These postcards fascinate us. All the architecture in Finland looks like the film version of Farenheit 451. This worked very well especially in some of Carina’s Karen Eliot pieces. Here is the reverse side:

What seems most important to Carina is the stamp:

Looks like the Village People to us. Did someone make a stamp commemorating Al Pacino in Cruising?

Many thanks to Carina. We’ll be sending a response soon.
