Minxus-Linxus First International Exhibition of Holes – A Tale of Twelve Holes by Janine Weiss

La sale gosse… I see Janine has been chopping up my signed notes. And an envelope completement givree’, oui! (= absolutely crazy = totally frosted). Yes, things are totally frosted here, in any sense, as it has been convincingly snowing over the Manoir aux Visons.

For her Holism homework Minxus-Linxus has sent Janine a map of the Tokyo metro, and she made a fantastic book out of it. Intricate, layered, mixed media, home to a great story so sweetly told.

Janine tells us about the journey that started with a mysterious map found in a mysterious box. This map led her to a place without name and free of human beings, but inhabited by interesting characters eager to make holes. One of them couldn’t stop punching holes in Janine’s map, holes of all kinds of shapes.

Twelve holes, more exactly. He punched twelve holes before being stopped by a gentle hand. Because if you continue making holes like that, what will be left? One giant hole? Le Neant? Infinity? That’s a very good question, Janine.

I have noticed with the latest entries to the Exhibition of Holes that our Tenderfoots seem very concerned with the possibility of the Nothingness that might ensue from too many holes or from too big a hole, which makes me seriously think that at some point we will have to close all those holes. But more of this later.
Janine, many thanks for this outstanding contribution to the show, la salle gosse and Minxus-Linxus are absolutely thrilled with this beautiful work of yours (and it smells nice too, what is it?).

Marie, thank you blogged these holes, you know that I did not remember having written this. It came out of me at any given time. Perhaps in reality I dream of entering in a black hole, maybe I dream to meet bozon X, take his hand and go with it very far from the reality oof the Earth. Indeed, as the Universe is infinite, what remains if there were only holes? You see, black holes, anti-matter that makes me dream, perhaps, also, there are better, much better, there can be only better, otherwise what good continue to live here? Great existential question.
The anti-matter can not be worse than the matter. You’re a scientist, this should make you smile. I kiss you.
