MinXus-Lynxus First International Exhibition of Holes – Vizma Bruns (Waitpinga, Australia)

We continue our tour of the MinXus Exhibition of Holes with Vizma, who is sending back her homework to the Manoir aux Visons.

Tear Ducts & Lucky Holes. I had sent Vizma a picture of a Japanese women dancing the very slow and traditional Nihon Buyo, hiding her face with her arms. Vizma has given her tear ducts by piercing the paper with very small holes and has chosen a high impact juxtaposition with Araki’s (in)famous book Tokyo Lucky Hole. This keeps the story within the borders of Japan, albeit clearly from a completely different angle 🙂

A very clever composition, Vizma, many thanks for your brilliant contribution to the Exhibition of Holes at MinXus-Lynxus, the Mail-Art Gallery Where The Light Is Always On.
