Miss Yoko cut up her britches afore Empress Marie was even borned

Yoko Ono cut clothing performance (1964)

Mink Ranch tenderfoots get concerned when Empress Marie has a fit of wysteria and starts cutting up her britches (jeans) and writing poems on them. There is nothing new under the sun. Yoko Ono did something very similar in 1964, albeit with some assistance from the audience. We don’t believe she mailed the shreds to anyone.  The piece has been documented:

All the same, we would be irresponsible if we did not add the disclaimer: Kids, don’t try this at home.

She did it before and she did it better. Have you noticed she was taking an almost “saintly” pose and look during the performance?

The facial ‘spressions and body language are a might unusual. I’d say she strikes a martyr pose. Then when the fella starts cutting the bra straps, she starts to look alarmed, or suddenly modest.
