    The Tom Clark quote is from the book “When Things Get Tough on Easy Street,” which has come up before.

    The MinXus party line was that Tom didn’t hit his poetic stride until “Paradise Resisted.”

    Yet in the context of these changed times, “When Things Get Tough…” is starting to look like a classic in its own right. So our position is changed on that.

    Saying he has strong ties to the NY School still holds but you also have to make allowances for certain West Coast influences too.
